Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the updated composition of the heads of regions
On Monday, July 24, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an online working meeting on seasonal agricultural campaigns and other areas of socio-economic development of the regions.
This is the first meeting with an updated composition of the heads of regional administrations after the head of state replaced four out of five regional khyakims on July 14.
Since Deputy Prime Minister for Agriculture Tangryguly Atakhalliyev was also appointed recently, on July 7, we can talk about the formation of an almost new “team” of managers, which began to solve the problems of developing the agro- industrial complex and raising the village.
At the meeting, the hyakims reported on the state of the cotton fields, the involvement of agricultural machinery, the preparation of ginneries, reception centers, combines for the harvesting season, as well as the work to prepare the land for laying the next year's wheat crop. The grown potatoes and other fruit and vegetable and melon crops are being harvested and transported for sale. In addition, in the Dashoguz and Lebap regions, rice fields, and in the Mary region, sugar beet crops are being cared of. The Deputy Prime Minister for Agriculture summarized the reports and informed about the indicators of the sector as a whole in the country.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov pointed out to each khyakim specific issues that should be given priority, and gave a number of instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister to organize agricultural campaigns.
