In Uzbekistan, students of medical universities, holders of the IELTS certificate, will receive a ministerial scholarship


In Uzbekistan, for students with an IELTS certificate, the country's Ministry of Health will introduce a special ministerial scholarship. This was announced at a meeting with the participation of activists of the sphere, head of the Ministry of Health, Amrillo Inoyatov, Podrobno.uz reports.
The official noted that knowledge of foreign languages is important in studying the achievements of world science, mastering the accumulated international experience. That is why today students studying in higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan are required to be fluent in foreign languages, Inoyatov said.
To date, there are enough students in 11 higher medical schools in the country who have an IELTS certificate with a score of 7.5 or higher, as well as an international certificate confirming knowledge of German or French at the C1 level. They have a great chance of getting a grant at universities that occupy high positions in the world rankings.
“The establishment of this scholarship will be a motivation for other students who will also strive to achieve such high results. At the same time, it is necessary that the rectors of medical universities pay special attention to gifted students, and teachers of each department provide support to future young specialists,” the minister emphasized.
In the near future, a legal basis for the introduction of this innovation will be developed, the head of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan said.
