Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Qatar has been appointed

By the decree of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the State of Qatar, the city of Doha.
The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Qatar was opened in March this year, during the visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Doha. The Arab state itself opened its embassy in Ashgabat in 2014.
This is the third Turkmen embassy in the Arab countries of the Gulf. Currently, the embassies of Turkmenistan operate in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
At this week's summit of the Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf with the countries of Central Asia, the head of Turkmenistan put forward a number of proposals to expand cooperation between the two regions, including in the field of diplomacy, transport, energy, trade, etc.
The same week, the Turkmen delegation headed by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mergen Gurdov paid a working visit to Doha and held talks on further intensification of bilateral trade and economic relations.
