Bidding on SCRMET: urea and various light industry goods became the subjects of transactions


Urea grade "B" (from $268 to $264 per ton), various types of fabrics (from $0.25 to $0.45 per sq.m.), bedding sets of various configurations (from $6.50 to $13 per set), various types of cotton yarn (from $1.97 to $2.12 per kg) and cotton fiber (from $1.60 to $1.70 per kg) were in demand during trading on the State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan on Friday, July 21.
Businessmen from the UAE signed deals with the state concern "Turkmenhimiya" for the purchase of 105 thousand tons of urea for a total of $2.7 million.
Companies from China, Turkey and the UAE signed contracts with individual enterprises and entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan for the purchase of 1.5 million square meters of various types of fabrics for $537.1 thousand.
Representatives of the Chinese business community purchased more than 67.4 thousand sets of bed linen for $577.2 thousand from a Turkmen sole proprietor.
Entrepreneurs from Turkey also purchased 1.5 million kg of cotton yarn worth over $3 million from an individual enterprise from Turkmenistan.
Businessmen from the UAE signed deals with a Turkmen individual entrepreneur for the purchase of 107.5 thousand kg of bleached cotton fiber for $175.8 thousand.
In total, 11 deals worth $4.3 million were concluded during the auction.
