The shopping center will be built in the Turkmen-Uzbek border zone


A modern shopping center will be built in the Turkmen-Uzbek border zone in Dashoguz region. Construction will begin in July 2023, and will be completed in two years - in 2025. This was reported on Friday in the Vatan news release.
Earlier, on October 5, 2021, an agreement was signed between the Governments of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan on the establishment of a Turkmen-Uzbek border trade zone and a shopping center. To implement the project, the President of Turkmenistan signed a corresponding decree.
According to the document, the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations is ordered to conclude a contract with the repair and construction division of the subordinate Central Department of the Association of Consumer Societies for the design and construction of a shopping center in the Turkmen-Uzbek border zone. The project also provides for the improvement of the adjacent territory, the laying of external supply engineering communication systems, electricity and water supply.
