Turkmenistan became a participant of the meeting of the expert group on physical culture and sports


The strategy for the development of cooperation between the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the field of physical culture and sports was discussed on July 19 at the CIS headquarters.
The meeting of the expert group, held online, was attended by representatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth.
The experts finalized and agreed on a draft Action Plan in this area for 2024-2026. The Strategy defines the goals, objectives, principles, directions and forms of cooperation of the Commonwealth countries in the field of physical culture and sports, aimed at deepening and expanding partnerships between national sports organizations, strengthening interstate cooperation.
The program reflects the industry specifics of the sphere of physical culture and sports related to the peculiarities of the development of the physical culture movement and higher sports achievements, amateur and professional sports, youth, school and student sports, national sports, adaptive physical culture, Olympic, Paralympic, Deaflympic, and special Olympic movements.
The project also includes key aspects of the formation and functioning of sports infrastructure facilities, holding sports and mass sports events, training, retraining and advanced training of personnel in the field of physical culture and sports, interaction with manufacturers and suppliers of sporting goods and services.
At the meeting, it was decided to submit the plan in the prescribed manner for consideration by the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS.
