The Ambassador of Ukraine conveyed messages to the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation
Messages of gratitude from Ukraine for humanitarian assistance were sent to the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship. Especially for the delivery of these messages, Ukrainian Ambassador Viktor Maiko came to the city of Arkadag, where the Foundation is located.
The event was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, Mayor of Arkadag Shamukhammet Durdylyev, members of the Board of the Charitable Foundation.
Turkmenistan sent humanitarian aid to children in Ukraine on behalf of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation this spring. These were medicines and medical supplies, textiles, food.
"Providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine is an act of friendship, a symbol of our people's commitment to the primordial humane principles," Rashid Meredov said at the ceremony. He recalled that humanitarian aid from the Foundation was also sent to Turkey to children affected by earthquakes and to Afghanistan. "This is a clear confirmation of the friendliness of the Turkmen people, their ability to empathize and help those who need it," the Foreign Minister added.
On behalf of the Ukrainian people, Ambassador Viktor Maiko expressed gratitude to the national leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the humanitarian assistance provided.
The diplomat conveyed messages of gratitude from Ukrainian children and heads of medical institutions, including the Belozersk Hospital, the Okhmatdet Kyiv Children's Clinic, as well as photos sent from different regions of Ukraine to the Charity Foundation.
Maya Okuzova, Director General of the Children's Health and Rehabilitation Center, who accepted the messages, said that they would be placed in the Museum of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Helping Children in Need of Guardianship.
An introductory tour of the territory of the Children's Health and Rehabilitation Center in the city of Arkadag was organized for the Ukrainian ambassador.
