A new Brazilian ambassador has arrived in Ashgabat


Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil (with residence in Astana) Rubema Antonio Correa Barbosa presented copies of credentials to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Vepa Hajyyev on Wednesday. Congratulating him on his appointment to the responsible post, the Deputy Minister expressed the readiness of the Turkmen side to provide assistance and support to the diplomat in the implementation of his diplomatic mission.
According to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, an exchange of views on the current agenda of the bilateral partnership took place during the meeting. The parties discussed prospects for the development of cooperation both in the interstate format and within the framework of reputable international structures.
The Turkmen side expressed interest in developing cooperation in such areas as energy, oil refining and chemical industry, agriculture, transport and textile industry.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the expansion of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Turkmenistan and Brazil, as well as prospects for the development of cooperation in the field of sports and tourism.
