France to adopt Tourism Charter to ensure exemplary reception at 2024 Olympic Games

French President Emmanuel Macron has promised to develop a charter of obligations for the accommodation of tourists to ensure an exemplary reception at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris next year.
Macron chaired a meeting of the Olympic and Paralympic Council, at which representatives of the French government and the Paris 2024 Organizing Committee discussed how the country would respond to the growth of tourism during the competition.
The organizers plan to create an observatory of prices to control the cost of living, launch a special smartphone application with which visitors will be able to book hotels and restaurants, find out transport routes, buy tickets to museums.
The French government has also promised to help people with reduced mobility by providing 5,000 hotel rooms in the capital.
The 2024 Olympic Games in Paris are scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 11, and the Paralympic Games — from August 28 to September 8.
