Kazakhstan has started creating 10 pilot animation projects based on ancient legends known in all Turkic-speaking countries. Ten Kazakhstani animation studios are also involved in the project. To select the material, a creative competition was organized, where 40 scripts were submitted from 26 studios, the plot of which was based on legends and legends about great personalities of Turkic-speaking countries, sacred animals and geographical names, common holidays and national entertainments of the Turkic peoples.

According to the results of the competition, 10 animation projects were selected, which were based on such well-known legends in the Turkic world as "Three Lions", "The Legend of Shirak Batyr and the Eagle", "Leila. The secret of the Turkish Queen", "Turan", "Golden Lake", "Ahmet", "Waters" and others.

"The pilot animation projects launched into production are not similar either in genre or in subject matter. Everyone is individual in their own way. This project will not only strengthen cooperation between the Turkic-speaking states, but also allow Kazakh studios to enter new markets and expand the audience. This is also the first step towards creating joint animation projects with fraternal countries in the future," Acting Chairman of the Culture Committee of the MCS of Kazakhstan Kumis Seitova said.
