Turkmenistan outlined priorities at the High-level Forum on Sustainable Development


The delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Minister of Finance and Economy of the country Serdar Jorayev took part in the High-level Forum on Sustainable Development at the UN headquarters in New York, the website of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
The forum is dedicated to the theme "Accelerating recovery after COVID-19 and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at all levels".
Speaking at the plenary session of the forum, the head of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan outlined the priorities of the country's activities in the field of sustainable development for the period up to 2030 and the achievement of the SDGs at the national level and in an international format.
Jorayev noted the high degree of integration of the development goals approved at the global level into the long- and medium-term state programs of socio-economic development in Turkmenistan.
The speech also stressed that Turkmenistan has maintained the stability of economic development during the pandemic, and most sectors of the national economy have not stopped growing.
It was noted that the implementation of the SDGs in Turkmenistan is aimed at improving people's lives, promoting a healthy lifestyle, creating opportunities for comprehensive, fair and high-quality education, ensuring environmental sustainability, and implementing innovations in all areas of the economy.
