Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov proposed to open Hyundai and Kia automobile plants in the country. The initiative was voiced during a meeting with the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Korea, Chong Woo Taek.

"We suggest that the Korean side consider the possibility of opening automobile factories of leading Korean companies, such as Hyundai and Kia, taking into account the membership of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Eurasian Economic Union," Akylbek Zhaparov said.

Over the past few decades, the Korean automotive industry has achieved significant success in the automotive industry and has established itself as an important player on the global automotive manufacturing scene.

The country is famous for its automobile companies, such as Hyundai, Kia, and Daewoo. They produce a wide range of cars of various classes — from economical city cars to premium class.
