Turkmen Ambassador to Belgium discussed sustainable transport links between Europe and Central Asia


Together with other ambassadors from Central Asia, Turkmenistan's Envoy to Belgium took part in a meeting with the Regional Director of the Directorate General of the European Commission for International Cooperation (DG INTPA) Peteris Ustubus. This is reported on the page of the Turkmen diplomatic mission on Instagram.
The meeting, which took place in Brussels, was also attended by Henrik Hololey, Adviser to the Directorate. The participants discussed the results of a study by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on sustainable transport links between Europe and Central Asia, considered the possibility of developing a roadmap for the effective implementation of the recommendations of this report.
The study aims to identify the most sustainable transport corridors connecting the countries of Central Asia with the Trans-European Transport Network and propose measures for their development.
