Turkmen crews took second and third places in the Silk Road Rally
On Saturday, the grand finish ceremony of the Silk Road International Rally 2023 took place on Red Square in the very center of Moscow. She gathered several thousand fans at Vasilyevsky Descent, who came to congratulate the winners and prize-winners and to see the passage of sports cars through the finish arch.
Among them are Turkmen crews. The second and third places in the T2 category were won by representatives of the Motor Sports Federation of Turkmenistan Merdan Toylyyev / Shohrat Toylyyev and Maksatmyrat Danatarov / Didar Orazmedov in Nissan Patrol cars.
In the absolute standings, the winner of the race was the crew of Andrey Rudsky and Dmitry Karpov from the NG-Energo team on a Russian-made car, which also excelled in the T1 classification. The first place in the T2 category was won by representatives of the Moscow region Anton Melnikov and Anton Nikolaev in a Toyota LC200 car. In the T3 class, Sergey Karyakin and Anton Vlasyuk from the Snag Racing team became the favorites.
In total, the distance of the 9-day race was 5,228 kilometers, and the route of the competition covered 13 regions of the Russian Federation. At the same time, a project for the collection and recycling of plastic bottles and aluminum cans was launched at the Silk Road Rally bivouacs within the framework of the G-Drive environmental initiative, together with the national recycling operator EcoPartners Group.
The documentary film "The Silk Road. The Newest History" is a true story about people who revived the deepest humanitarian meanings of the Great Silk Road, which united East and West for centuries, on the basis of the largest competition, available for free on the PREMIER platform from July 15.
