Representatives of the Ministry of Finance and the private sector of Turkmenistan took part in the Baku ID Forum


Representatives of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, JSCB "Rysgal" and ES "Yigit" with the assistance of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) took part in the Baku ID Venture Capital Forum, which was held in Baku.
Baku ID (Baku Investment Day) is the annual main event of startups and innovations in Azerbaijan, organized by the SABAH.HUB Innovation Center, which was founded by the Ministry of Science and Education and the Institute of Education of Azerbaijan.
The forum brought together government organizations, companies, venture funds, business angels, entrepreneurs and startups to discuss the state of the innovation landscape in the country and in the Central Asian region, as well as new investment opportunities in the startup ecosystem. The event was attended by more than 200 investors, over 100 startups, about 3,000 guests and participants, as well as dozens of partner orgasizations.

The forum program included panel discussions, startup presentations, discussions and networking events. Panel discussions covered several topics, such as "Future trends in human capital development", "Empowerment of a new generation of entrepreneurs", "Intersection of infrastructure and technology", "Government support and programs to create an ecosystem for startups".
The moderators and speakers of the panel discussions were representatives of Western universities, venture funds and analytical centers. Among them are the Venture Lab from IE Business School, Diaspora Ventures, Stanford University, 500 Global, Sturgeon Capital, Big Sky Capital VC, White Hill Capital, Startup Wise Guys, Vitosha Venture Partners, the Agency for Innovation and Digital Development of Azerbaijan and many others.
In addition, 48 startups from seven countries in Europe and Asia presented their projects.
The Turkmen delegation had the opportunity to get acquainted with the best startup projects and discuss the future of innovative ecosystems in Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and the Central Asian region with local and international experts, venture funds, academia and analytical centers. The knowledge and ideas gained during the forum will contribute to the further development of the venture ecosystem in Turkmenistan.
