The volume of investments in the development of the economy of Turkmenistan has increased by almost a quarter


The state increased the volume of capital investments in the development of the economy of Turkmenistan by 24.6% in the first half of the year compared to the same period in 2022. Thus, more funds were spent on improving production, trade, infrastructure and improving the welfare of the population.
This was reported by the Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan Serdar Jorayev at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, TDH reports.
Capital investments in the development of the economy amounted to 16% of the total volume of products produced in the country (GDP). Of these, almost half (49.4%) went to create new production complexes that will be able to increase incomes and the number of jobs. And the other half (50.6%) went to the construction of social facilities, such as schools, hospitals, roads and housing.
