Sports fans could stay in the childhood home of the founder of the modern Olympic movement

The global partner of the Olympic Games, Airbnb, an online platform for accommodation and rental search, offers fans a unique opportunity to stay in the house where Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the modern Olympic movement, spent his childhood.
This can be done on July 26 to commemorate the year before the opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
Mirville Castle in Normandy, France, which has been completely renovated, is the place where the young Coubertin developed a love of sports. It was this love that ultimately inspired him to revive the ancient Olympic Games.
Guests will be able to spend time in Coubertin's personal account, get acquainted with official copies of memorabilia. Among them are Coubertin's Olympic Manifesto of 1892, a document with an original sketch of the Olympic rings and an official ticket to the first Summer Olympic Games hosted by France in 1900.
They will also have the opportunity to play tennis with Caroline Garcia, a professional from France, on the estate's historic grass court. Family history says that it was on the territory of the Chateau de Mirville that tennis was played for the first time in France.
