Elon Musk founded a company to work in the field of artificial intelligence
In his microblog on Twitter, American businessman Elon Musk announced the creation of a new company called xAI.
Her goal is to understand the true nature of the universe. To realize its mission, xAI will work closely with X Corp., which replaced Twitter, with Tesla and other corporations.
The xAI foundation team includes 12 former employees of companies specializing in artificial intelligence - DeepMind, OpenAI, Microsoft, Tesla, and the University of Toronto. In particular, associate professor at the University of Toronto Jimmy Ba, Christian Szegedi, who has been working on AI at Google for a long time.
Dan Hendricks, Director of the Center for AI Safety, will advise the new company. The Center considers too rapid development of artificial intelligence dangerous.
Now the startup is actively recruiting experienced engineers and researchers. The xAI team will answer all questions of public interest during the broadcast on Twitter Spaces on July 14.
