A new institute and an international school for training specialists in the agricultural sector will open in Uzbekistan on September 1


On September 1, 2023, the Institute of Agricultural Innovations and Research on the basis of a branch of the Tashkent State Agrarian University will open its doors to students in Samarkand. The new educational institution will cooperate with universities and research institutes. The educational project provides for the creation of an interdepartmental center for fundamental agricultural research. Also, the institute will have a Gene Bank of agricultural crops and the directorate of the National Scientific Complex of Field Crops, NOVA24uz reports.
The Samarkand University will also become a center for the formation of topics of scientific projects and dissertations in the field of agriculture and food industry in higher educational institutions and research institutes in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture.
Also in September, a specialized international school based on the British education system will open in Tashkent. The new educational institution will be created on the basis of the International Agricultural University, which was founded jointly with the Royal Agricultural University of Great Britain.
The International School will become an independent non- governmental educational institution. The first students will be able to enroll in the 2023/2024 academic year from the 1st or 5th grade.
The institute and school will be established in Uzbekistan in accordance with the decree of the President of the country "On additional measures to improve the efficiency of the agro-industrial complex through the integration of science, education and production," the message says.
