The winners of the school chess championship of Turkmenistan will go to the world championship
The Chess Championship of Turkmenistan among school teams, held for the first time in the country on July 8-9, summed up its results. The competitions organized by the National Chess Federation and the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports were held at the Specialized Chess and Checkers School of the city of Ashgabat.
More than 100 schoolchildren from all regions of the country took part in the competition. The tournament was held in 7 rounds in two age categories under 12 and under 18. Each team consisted of 4 athletes. 16 teams participated in the under-12 category, and 13 teams participated in the under-18 category.
Uncompromising battles revealed the following winners and prize - winners in the category under 12 years:

The teams that took the first places in this competition received the right to participate in the World Championship among school teams, which this year will be held for the first time in the history of the International Chess Federation (FIDE). The World Championship will be hosted by the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan, from August 3 to 8.
