Trainings on emergency control in the field of public health were held in Turkmenistan


Cascade trainings dedicated to the control of public health emergencies at entry points were held in Turkmenistan.
They are organized by the WHO Country Office in Turkmenistan jointly with the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan for representatives of the country's State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service and specialists of ministries and departments monitoring public health emergencies at entry points.
The participants got acquainted with the National Action Plan for Emergency Situations in the field of public health at the entry points of Turkmenistan, a methodological guide on the principles and procedure of infection prevention and infection control.
They learned about the methods of transporting people with suspected infectious diseases to medical institutions, waste disposal at entry points.
In order to consolidate the acquired knowledge in practice, simulation exercises were conducted for them on response measures in the event of a public health emergency.
