The first transnational freight train went to Uzbekistan on the route China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan. It is reported by China Daily.

A train with a metal structure and insulating pipes set off from the Langfang city district in the Chinese province of Hebei.

On a 12-day journey through China and Central Asia, the train will make a stop in Kashgar in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, heading to the port of Irkeshtam. In Kyrgyzstan, the train will stop in Osh, from where another train will deliver the cargo to the Uzbek capital.

"On the new route, the transportation time will be reduced by at least three days compared to conventional routes," spokesman for Taitong International Transport (Langfang) Co. Chu Xuan said. He also added that it could help reduce transport costs and reduce port delays.

Another train loaded with office furniture and other small household appliances also departed from Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province, on the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan route.

According to the operators, the cargo will also pass through Kashgar, Irkeshtam and eventually arrive in Tashkent.
