Turkmenistan and Japan discussed prospects for financial and economic cooperation


The delegation of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan held a series of meetings with high-ranking officials of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Finance of Japan in Tokyo, the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan in Japan reports.
The purpose of the talks was to discuss the prospects for the development of financial and economic cooperation between the two countries, as well as the preparation of new documents regulating bilateral relations in this area.
During the talks, the parties expressed satisfaction with the high level of trust and partnership that has developed between Turkmenistan and Japan over three decades of cooperation. They also noted the significant contribution of Japanese companies to the infrastructure development of Turkmenistan, especially in the sectors of transport, energy and chemistry.
The parties stressed the need to further expand trade, investment and credit ties between the two countries, as well as to strengthen dialogue at the regional level.
