In Russia, they began to monitor the condition of patients using messengers. An innovative system for remote monitoring of patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) using messengers was developed by specialists of the I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, the Izvestia newspaper reports.
The system allows doctors to monitor the condition of patients online and eliminate complications.
Every day the patient receives a list of simple questions about his current state of health. For example, what is his blood pressure and pulse, the presence of edema or shortness of breath. After analyzing the data, the system gives an assessment of the patient's condition.
If a patient with abnormalities is found, his last name will be highlighted in the program with a yellow or red flag. After seeing this mark, a medical professional can contact the patient in a timely manner and give him appropriate recommendations.
In order to increase the convenience of its use by both doctors and patients, the creators of the system are working on its improvement.
