President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has sent a congratulatory message to the leader of the United States of America Joseph Biden on the occasion of the Independence Day of the United States, the official Turkmen press writes today.
The Head of Turkmenistan highly appreciated the friendly relations between the countries and expressed confidence that they will expand and develop further.
Independence Day in the United States is celebrated on July 4. On this day in 1776, the Second Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence of the United States, which proclaimed the country's independence from the United Kingdom of Great Britain.
Independence Day became an official holiday in the United States in 1870 by decision of the country's Congress. Since then, it has been celebrated annually with various traditions such as fireworks, parades, concerts, barbecues and baseball games.
