A roadmap to support health and well-being in Central Asia has been launched in Dushanbe


High-level coordinators representing the Ministries of Health of Central Asian countries have launched a roadmap to support health and well-being in the region for 2022-2025. The meeting, convened by the World Health Organization in the capital of Tajikistan, became a platform for discussing issues of implementing joint actions and promoting cooperation with partners in order to ensure the health and well-being of the population in the region, attracting investments to accelerate the process.
The Roadmap to Support Health and Well–being in the region for 2022-2025 was adopted in September 2022 by five Central Asian countries. The document includes goals and objectives that will accelerate the implementation of the global, regional and national commitments of the Central Asian countries in promoting health and well-being in the region.
The countries agreed to prioritize efforts and investments based on four factors. In particular, in the field of maintaining a high priority of health in the political agenda of Central Asian countries and partners; building a strategic alliance in support of health and well-being in the region; ensuring synergy in resource mobilization and support for joint projects; promoting policy coherence and actions towards achieving sustainable development goals.
