Turkmen juniors participate in the West Asian Chess Championship


Juniors from Turkmenistan are taking part in the West Asian Chess Championship among children from 6 to 18 years old, which is being held for the first time in the town of Korumdu, Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyz media report.
In total, about 300 chess players from Turkmenistan, India, Sri Lanka, Oman, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and performing under the flag of the International Chess Federation arrived at the championship, which takes place from June 30 to July 10.
The competitions between the best regional players are monitored by the judging panel, which is headed by the referee of the highest category Turdaliev Husan (Uzbekistan).
The organizer of the competition was the Kyrgyz Chess Union, which is the national division of the International Chess Union.
