Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave kurbanlyk-sadaqa in Saudi Arabia
Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave kurbanlyk sadaqa in Mecca during a trip to Saudi Arabia to participate in the Hajj rites, the official Turkmen press writes today.
Sadaqa was given in the world's largest mosque Al-Haram (Forbidden Mosque). He was visited by members of the Turkmen delegation that arrived in Mecca, as well as official representatives of Saudi Arabia. "This is a good custom in the name of good deeds performed on the sacred land and commemoration of the deceased," the State News Agency of Turkmenistan comments.
The meeting of the national leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the special representative of the Emir of Qatar Hadi Bin Ali Al-Marri was also held at the Al-Haram Mosque. During the conversation, the sides noted the existence of huge prospects and opportunities for expanding Turkmen-Qatari relations.
At the King Abdulaziz International Airport, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan held meetings with the Mayor of Jeddah, Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi Al Saud, as well as the President of the Islamic Development Bank, Ahmad Mohamed Ali Al-Madani.
