Turkmenistan aspires to become a bridge of friendship between East and West — Hungarian leader


Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban thanked Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the hospitality during his visit to Ashgabat, noting that Turkmenistan aspires to become a bridge of friendship between East and West.
The text of the corresponding letter addressed to the head of the supreme representative authority of Turkmenistan was published today in the official Turkmen press.
The Hungarian head of State also noted that Budapest is committed to deepening bilateral partnership and expanding interregional cooperation, adding that thanks to joint efforts, cooperation between the two countries is gaining consistent momentum.
Viktor Orban paid a visit to Turkmenistan on June 9. During the talks with President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, a wide range of economic, transport and energy issues were touched upon.
