"Turkmenaragatnashyk": what systems provide the digital landscape of the city of Arkadag


In the new city of Arkadag, 20 sets of base stations operating on the 3G and 4G “Altyn Asyr” cellular communication model have been installed and put into operation, a GPON network for 20 thousand corporate and private subscribers and an IP television system for 235 TV channels with the possibility of additional expansion have been also installed. This was stated by Chairman of the Agency "Turkmenaragatnashyk" Khadzhimyrat Hudaygulyev, speaking at the investment forum on Friday.
Each apartment in the new city is connected to a fiber optic network, which provides access to the Internet at speeds up to one gigabit per second, as well as IP TV and telephone communications. External fiber-optic communication networks are laid in three directions: two lines connect the city of Arkadag with Ashgabat and one - with the Gekdepe district. Intracity cable communication networks with a total length of more than 400 kilometers have been laid.

In the city of Arkadag, sets of equipment for modern LoRaWan transceiver stations based on innovative technologies have been installed and put into operation, allowing the creation of Smart City and Smart Home systems and remote use of these services. They provide an intelligent monitoring and control infrastructure that allows you to effectively collect and analyze data from network devices that the city numbers more than 60,000 of them, said the head of "Turkmenaragatnashyk".
In particular, metering devices for electricity, hot and cold water and natural gas consumption have been installed for the smart housing and communal services system. Sensors have also been installed to detect natural gas and water leaks.
For institutions and enterprises of the city, there have been also installed systems for intelligent metering of consumption of electricity, drinking water and natural gas, as well as digital collection and analysis of data on their consumption. A mobile application has been developed that allows citizens to use the services of this system online, make payments for utilities, order and receive the necessary information. The service will also inform citizens and operators about water and gas leaks in the house.

In addition, the intelligent road and transport networks of the new city include the Smart Traffic Light system. A Call Center that unites the emergency services of the city has been created at number 123 to receive urgent appeals from citizens,.There has been also created a center that will allow monitoring the entire elevator service of the city that numbers more than 1,400 elevators.
Wi-Fi zones have been created in parks and public places of the city, and an electronic document management system has been organized in offices and enterprises of the city, connected to the central office.

On the public services portal e.gov.tm, residents of the city of Arkadag, having created a personal account, can use communications and public services online, manage them, pay bills, etc. An electronic school, an electronic library, the “Zekhin” digital system, an educational portal, an electronic appointment with a doctor, a request for the necessary certificates, banking services, electronic trading systems, the ability to provide statistical reports and other digital services are also available. A draft of the official website of the city of Arkadag has been prepared, Khadzhimyrat Khudaiguliyev added, calling on foreign partners to expand cooperation in the field of communications, exchange of experience between specialists, discussion of mutually beneficial projects, new technologies and developments.
