Florists from the CIS countries will take part in the International Flower Festival in Kronstadt
The most colorful and fragrant International Flower Festival, in which the best florists from the CIS countries and Russia will take part, will unfold on July 8-9 in Kronstadt. The museum and historical park "Island of Forts" will become the competition site, the press service of the St. Petersburg Tourism Development Committee reported.
This year the festive program will be dedicated to Day of Family, Love and Fidelity. The festival will also continue a series of events in honor of the 320th anniversary of St. Petersburg and the status of the cultural capital of the CIS.
Competitions between the best florists will be held under popular classical melodies. The flower makers will demonstrate their works in the nominations "Best Bouquet", "Best Floral Costume", "Best Floral Umbrella" and "Best Headdress".
The work of florists will be evaluated by an international professional jury. In addition, each viewer will be able to cast their vote for their favorite composition in the online voting format and decide the fate of the winner.
The flower extravaganza will end with an exhibition of floral art objects - the famous symbols of St. Petersburg will appear in an unusual performance at the festival site. Compositions of fresh flowers will be inspired by the history, architecture and legends of the city on the Neva. All art works will work in the format of photozones, the message says.
