More than 300 objects were erected as part of the first stage of the development of the city of Arkadag, including a stadium for 10 thousand seats, a state drama theater, a hotel, an equestrian circus, specialized schools, an equestrian academy, a children's health and rehabilitation center, etc.
This became known during the opening ceremony of the first stage of the development of the city of national importance, which is located 30 kilometers from Ashgabat.

Among the new buildings opened today are 258 residential houses on 2, 5, 7 and 9 floors. They will be able to accommodate more than 40.5 thousand people.
Residential facilities are equipped with smart home systems that automate the operation of some devices and allow them to be remotely controlled via the Internet and monitor various indicators, such as temperature and humidity.

One of the most important components of the social infrastructure of the "smart" city were the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Children's Health and Rehabilitation Center, a 350-bed multidisciplinary hospital, a 150-bed oncology Center, a 150-bed Maternal and Child Health Center, as well as an ambulance Center and a Health Home.

The cultural leisure of the residents of the new town of Arkadag will be provided by the Gerogly State Equestrian Circus, the Aman Gulmammedov State Drama Theater, the Museum of Local Lore, the Library named after Dovletmammed Azadi.
Also, a multidisciplinary sports complex, a sports center and a stadium for 10 thousand seats have been built in the city of national significance, which have the best conditions for martial arts, football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, light and heavy athletics, water sports, etc.

Already as part of the first stage of construction, 10 preschool educational institutions for 320 places each, specialized schools No. 2, 3, 4 with in-depth study of foreign languages for 720 places each, as well as medical and pedagogical secondary vocational schools have been erected in the first "smart" city of the country.
The latest computer, language and laboratory equipment has been installed in educational institutions, which will allow students to comprehend not only theory, but also actively practice in various disciplines.

During the construction of Turkmenistan's first "smart" city, much attention was paid to environmental aspects and the introduction of "green" technologies. Thanks to this, more than 20 certificates and diplomas were received from various international organizations, including a certificate of accession to the project "Development of sustainable, green, climate-friendly cities with innovative solutions in the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe region".
