The newspaper and the Arkadag TV channel have officially started work, becoming accessible to readers and viewers. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has sent a congratulatory message to the staff and readers of the Arkadag newspaper on the occasion of the publication of the first issue of the periodical.
"I am sure that the new edition will be of great importance for explaining to the public the essence of our positive reforms and large—scale initiatives, and will win the great love of citizens, all our compatriots and broad readership," the head of state said in his message.
Arkadag TV channel, already available for viewing, including via Internet, currently broadcasts reports on the facilities of the country's first "smart" city.
On the pages of the first issue the newspaper "Arkadag" also published materials about the institutions of the city of state significance, comments of their employees and managers are given, as well as talks about the unique infrastructure and urban electric transport.
