Students from Turkmenistan participate in the "Student Startup" competition for a grant


Students from the CIS countries will receive grants in Russia to implement their projects by winning the Student Startup competition for start-up entrepreneurs. The competition is held by the Innovation Promotion Foundation as part of the Russian federal project "University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform".
This year, young people from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are participating in the event. Last week, the acceptance of applications for participation in the fourth, final in 2023 round of the competition ended, the press service of the Russian Foundation reports.
In 2022, a thousand winners were selected, each of which received a grant in the amount of 1 million rubles. In 2023, 1,500 student startups will receive the same funding. After the examination of applications, the participants of the competition will conduct a face-to-face defense of their projects and the winners will be announced in August.
The projects of the contestants cover six thematic areas: from digital technologies to creative industries. Most of the developments are devoted to digitalization, the creation of online platforms and mobile applications.
There are also projects aimed at the development of new devices and systems for the industry, and start-ups in the field of creative industries involve the creation of a new clothing brand and a portable speaker system.
