Missing child in the taiga of the Amur region was saved by a dog

The dog saved the boy who spent a day in the taiga of the Amur region. The dog drove wild animals away from him and warmed him at night in the forest, the Russian media told the story on Wednesday.
A man with his son went hunting in a forest in the Arkharinsky district of the Amur region of the Russian Federation. On the afternoon of June 27, a 10-year-old boy walked away from his father into the forest. It so happened that the child was lost in a dense thicket, they began to look for him. The search work involved 68 people and 18 pieces of equipment, including drones, ATVs and watercraft, a helicopter and a private jet.
A dog from a nearby apiary on the evening of June 27 smelled the boy and came to the child. In this connection, wild animals did not dare to approach the child, the search engines explained. At 700 meters from the place where he took refuge, according to them, there was a bear den with cubs. Bears during this period, when protecting offspring, are especially dangerous and aggressive.
“In the depths of the taiga there are apiaries guarded by this dog. It smelled the boy and came to him yesterday. Thus, it saved his life. Wild animals, sensing the dog, did not go to the child. The dog just lay next to the boy, did not leave. He slept on it under a bush until they found him,” the search engines specified.
