He noted that the most important task of the region is to maintain stability and strengthen security, which requires effective threat forecasting, prompt development of preventive response measures and qualitatively new integrated approaches, the press service of Akorda reports.

The Secretaries of the Security Council considered specific areas of cooperation, based on the current international situation and the national interests of the countries of the region.
Particular attention was paid to water security issues, given the need to preserve the common ecosystem, including in the face of climate change.
The press service of the Security Council of the Russian Federation reported that special attention was paid to cooperation in the anti-terrorist direction, the joint fight against transnational crime and illegal drug trafficking, and security threats.
Given the importance of the issues discussed, it is proposed to hold meetings in a similar format - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Russia - on a regular basis.
