Turkmen delegates discussed the improvement of electoral law at the Issyk-Kul Forum


Representatives of Turkmenistan took part in discussions on improving electoral legislation and the electoral process during the first electoral forum in Kyrgyz Issyk-Kul, 24kg reports.
The event with the participation of international representatives from the Organization of Turkic States, the CIS Executive Committee, the OSCE Program Office, the International Foundation for Electoral Systems, as well as officials and experts from Kyrgyz government agencies was held in the form of an exchange of views. They were joined by their colleagues from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Georgia and Mongolia.
"The purpose of the forum is to discuss a wide range of issues related to the improvement of legislation and law enforcement practice, the introduction of electoral technologies and the exchange of accumulated experience in the field of electoral law and process," the Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan reported.
As the head of the Central Election Commission of the Republic Nurzhan Shaildabekov noted, the forum is a platform for open dialogue, discussion of constructive cooperation, search for non-standard solutions to the problems that the electoral authorities of the participating countries face.
