Turkmen schoolchildren performed brilliantly at international Olympiads in the USA and Great Britain
Schoolchildren from Ashgabat have achieved brilliant results while participating in two international Olympiads at once, which were held in the United States and Great Britain, the official Turkmen press reported on June 23.
A team of high school students from secondary specialized schools of Ashgabat No. 97 and No. 135 took part in the international project Olympiad Genius-2023, which was held in Rochester, New York.
Competing together with 1100 participants from 63 countries of the world, Turkmen experts won four medals in a fair fight — three gold and one bronze. The winners of the gold awards were students of school No. 97 Pirguly Ovezov and Jumaly Jumalyev, as well as a representative of school No. 135 — Ibrahim Annamuradov. The bronze medal was awarded to a high school student from school No. 97 — Dawut Tachmuradov.
In the capital of Great Britain — London — students of Ashgabat schools performed at the International Project Olympiad International Greenwich Olympiad (IGO — 2023). Within its framework, the guys had to present projects in the field of environmental protection.
The team included six students from school No. 135, as well as metropolitan schools No. 83 and No. 97. These are Mahmyt Mahmudov, Merdan Muhammetorazov, Mkhammetnur Saparmuradov, Shamuhammet Muhammedov and brothers Emir and Abdylkayum Nuryev. According to the results of the Olympiad, all of them won bronze medals.
