The head doctor of the Moscow "Kommunarka" announced the frequency of global pandemics

In an interview with RBC, the head physician of the Moscow hospital "Kommunarka" Denis Protsenko said about the frequency of global pandemics. He is sure that pandemics happen once in 50 years.
"When they discuss a natural virus or a created virus, I still want to believe, based on what we had, that this is a natural process. Humanity lives with pandemics, and such terrible pandemics happen on average once every 50 years. Our generation was unlucky," says Protsenko.
In his opinion, the period after the COVID-19 pandemic is of the greatest interest to doctors, as the consequences continue to affect the health of those who have been ill.
On May 5, WHO Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus announced the end of the COVID-19 emergency regime.
