Pakistan can produce LNG from Turkmen gas for export to other countries

Pakistan's Oil Minister Musadiq Malik said that Turkmenistan has huge gas reserves and given that an agreement on the import of natural gas through a pipeline from Central Asia has already been reached, Islamabad offers China and Europe to build LNG plants in Gwadar.
LNG (liquefied natural gas) lends itself well to transportation over long distances. It is non-toxic, non-flammable and does not lead to corrosion. That is why Pakistan is able not only to sell the resource on the domestic market, but also to export it to other countries, The Express Tribune reports.
Last December, Pakistan announced LNG imports from Turkmenistan in transit through Afghanistan due to the energy crisis that broke out in the Islamic Republic against the backdrop of a cold winter. Already in April of this year, Islamabad received the first batch of fuel.
Recently, the Pakistani Government approved plan Joint implementation of the Turkmenistan—Afghanistan—Pakistan—India gas pipeline to accelerate the project.
