The Minister of Sports and Tourism of Belarus held a number of negotiations in Ashgabat
On June 19-21, Minister of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Kovalchuk paid a working visit to Turkmenistan, during which he met with Chairman of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan Gulmurad Agamuradov.
At the meeting, the head of the sports department of Belarus presented the concept of holding the II Games of the CIS countries, the country's sports infrastructure, the possibilities of the BSUFC sports cluster and invited the national teams of Turkmenistan to participate in joint training camps and competitions. There was also a presentation on medical and scientific support in the field of sports.
Sergey Kovalchuk also met with Deputy Minister of Culture Nursahet Shirimov. The Minister of Sports and Tourism of Belarus presented the tourism potential of his country at this meeting and stressed the inextricable link between sports and culture, speaking out for the regular exchange of experience, including the organization of event events.
During the meeting, sides discussed issues of topical areas of cooperation in the tourism industry, the organization of bilateral press tours, as well as the introduction of a visa-free regime during sports and cultural events.
The head of the Sports Department of Belarus invited the Turkmen side to participate in the international exhibition "Otdyh-2024", which will be held next April in Minsk.
