The agency "Turkmendenizderyaellary" discussed the expansion of cooperation with KOMEA
The management of the agency "Turkmendenizderyaellary" held a meeting with the regional representative of the Korean Marine Equipment Association (KOMEA), Kang Nam Yong, who arrived in Turkmenistan.
The parties discussed the establishment of bilateral cooperation, projects planned by Turkmenistan in the field of shipbuilding, development of the national merchant marine fleet and port infrastructure.
The KOMEA representative acquainted the Turkmen colleagues with the possibilities of establishing cooperation in the field of ship design and construction, training specialists, and introducing the latest technologies into the shipbuilding industry.
Among the topics discussed were the supply of equipment to Turkmenistan, digitalization of the work of the Balkan shipbuilding and ship repair plant, as well as the analysis of machinery and equipment at the enterprise.
It was noted that the Turkmen shipbuilding plant could become a hub for the provision of marine equipment necessary for similar enterprises in the Caspian Sea. The KOMEA representative also proposed to create a joint venture with the Balkan shipyard.
At the end of the negotiations, the parties confirmed their intention to make every effort to develop cooperation in the field of shipbuilding.
KOMEA operates under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea. More than 285 heavy industry enterprises are members of the association. The Association mainly provides services such as design in shipbuilding, supply of equipment and materials, introduction of advanced scientific technologies.
