The leadership of Turkmenistan congratulated Oleg Kononenko on his birthday
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent congratulatory messages to the instructor-test cosmonaut, hero of Turkmenistan and Russia Oleg Kononenko on the occasion of his birthday.
The native of the Turkmen land, who is now the commander of the cosmonaut detachment of the Roscosmos State Corporation, was addressed with wishes of good health, long life and great success in space exploration.
Kononenko was born on June 21, 1964 in the city of Turkmenabat, where he graduated with honors from secondary school No. 15. The cosmonaut was awarded the title of Hero of Turkmenistan in September 2019.
