The drillers of the Turkmengaz State Concern drilled a well with a depth of 4.6 km on the territory of the Galkynysh supergiant field, and also carried out blasting operations at a depth of 4.5 — 4.3 km, receiving industrial gas inflows as a result of high pressure.

The work was carried out by specialists using modern Japanese equipment and the latest drilling technology. Pipes-pumps and reinforcement recesses from the Japanese brand "Sumitomo" are currently actively used by the management of Turkmengazburawlayyş, the newspaper "Turkmenistan" reports.

The Galkynysh supergiant deposit is currently undergoing the first stage of its development. There are seven stages planned in total. The management of the state concern plans to significantly increase the inflow of gas from local deposits in order to gradually increase the export of this resource.
