The draft Regulations on the CIS Championship have been agreed

At an additional meeting of the expert group, representatives of the Commonwealth countries agreed on the draft Regulations on the CIS Championship (Cup). This is reported by the press service of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth.
The draft Regulation was developed within the framework of the activities of the Working Group on the Preparation and Holding of the Games of the CIS countries. It should be noted that the idea of organizing the CIS championships is dictated by the proposal to hold status sports competitions in the Commonwealth in the period between the Games of the CIS countries, which are held once every two years.
The championships will be held on a regular basis in the CIS countries in Olympic, Paralympic, Deaflympic, technical, aviation, military-applied and service-applied sports, as well as non-Olympic and national sports.
During one year, only one championship or the Commonwealth Cup can be held for a particular sport. The decision on the place and dates of their holding will be made by the Council on the basis of proposals from States.
The draft Regulation is planned to be submitted to the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS.
