Astana hosted a meeting of the Dialogue of Women in Central Asia


Today Astana hosted a meeting of the Women's Dialogue of Central Asian countries on the topic: "The role of women in the development of innovations and technologies." The event was chaired by Kazakhstan in the Dialogue. It was attended by speakers of the chambers of parliaments of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, deputies from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, heads of state bodies, as well as representatives of non-governmental and international organizations, the diplomatic corps.

The speeches focused on the integration of the efforts of active women from the countries of the Central Asian region, the women's business community, academic and scientific circles, the non-governmental and civil sectors.
It was also proposed to expand cooperation between the scientific and expert communities of the countries of Central Asia on topical issues of demographic development, gender equality, to implement projects in the field of tourism and culture development, to interact in the field of ecology, to develop trade, including digital.
Following the results of the plenary session, the Plan of Actions of the Dialogue of Women of the Countries of Central Asia for 2023 was adopted. It included holding the International Conference "Women, Peace and Security" in Almaty, Toppress.kz reports.

At the thematic session: “Best practices in the field of innovation and technology development with the participation of women”, a presentation of successful innovative projects demonstrating the role of women in the development of new technologies took place. The participants discussed digital projects aimed at the development of women's startups, artificial intelligence, digitalization in rural areas, and also considered developments aimed at solving topical issues of the family and society, women's entrepreneurship, vocational education and employment.
It is planned to create a single online portal for the countries of the Dialogue for joint projects.
