Soloist of the Mariinsky Theater will give a concert in Ashgabat


Mezzo-soprano of the State Academic Mariinsky Theater of Russia, Tsvetana Omelchuk, will perform in Ashgabat next Sunday, February 9, with her solo program. The concert will take place at the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater. Organizers are the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Federal Agency "Rossotrudnichestvo".
The evening program will consist of two departments. In the first part, songs and romances will be performed by Soviet and Russian composers - Alexander Dargomyzhsky, Peter Tchaikovsky, Dmitry Shostakovich, Sergey Rachmaninov, Mikhail Ippolitov-Ivanov, Leonid Desyatnikov.
And in the second part, the artist will perform arias from operas by prominent European composers - Charles Gounod (Romance Siebel), Georg Handel (opera Signare), Gioacchino Rossini (Aria Isabella), Georges Bizet (Habanera from the opera Carmen), Antonio Vivaldi and others.
“I am sure that the Ashgabat audience will be delighted,” says Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Vladimir Mkrtumov, who will accompany the soloist Miriinsky on the piano. - I myself am interested in speaking with Tsvetana, a professional in my field. She can convey the full power of music.
This is not the first meeting of Ashgabat residents with Tsvetana Omelchuk. She became the decoration of the music program at the concert of Russian virtuoso pianist Yuri Bogdanov in September last year. Then the artist performed with several compositions. And now she is returning to the Turkmen capital again, but with her solo program, in which there is room for surprise for the Turkmen public.
