The head of the delegation of Turkmenistan at the SPIEF met with the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation
On Friday, June 16, Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan Serdar Jorayev, who heads the Turkmen delegation at the XXVI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, held a bilateral meeting with Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov.
The ministers noted the growing trade turnover between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation, the volume of which in 2022 amounted to 1,636.8 million US dollars, and for the first quarter of 2023 - 386 million dollars, exceeding the figure for the same period of the last year by 10.4%.
Significant progress was noted in expanding areas of cooperation, among which trade and economic cooperation was named as a priority, the potential of which, as Serdar Joraev and Maxim Reshetnikov acknowledged, is far from fully utilized.
High-ranking leaders agreed to continue joint work to intensify trade and economic relations between strategic partners, which are Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation.
