The Speaker of the Turkmen Parliament will take part in the Dialogue of Women of Central Asia in Astana


Next week, on June 19, Astana will host a Dialogue of Women of Central Asia under the chairmanship of Kazakhstan.
The Dialogue, supported by the UN, will be attended by members of the National Commission for Women and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, speakers of the chambers of parliaments of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, parliamentarians of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, heads of state bodies, as well as representatives of civil society and international organizations and the diplomatic corps.
Within the framework of the Dialogue, a special thematic session on the topic "The role of women in innovation and technological development" will be held, organized by the National Commission on Women's Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Central Asian Women's Dialogue is an informal platform for discussing topical issues of development and strengthening cooperation between women parliamentarians in the region with the support of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (RCPCA), the UN Development Program (UNDP) and the UN Structure for Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women (UN-Women).
The dialogue, officially launched in December 2020, was held under the chairmanship of Uzbekistan in 2021 and Turkmenistan in 2022.
