Turkmenistan concluded the results of a nationwide competition among jewelers
The National Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan and the Central Council of the Union of Women of the country summed up the results of a joint nationwide competition among jewelers titled "Zerim bar, zergärim bar, bagtyýar zamanam bar".
The purpose of the creative competition was to popularize the ancient traditions of Turkmen jewelry art among young people, search for talented novice jewelers, and reveal their potential.
The competition was attended by professional jewelers and lovers of this type of art from Ashgabat and the regions of Turkmenistan, including specialists from various industries and students.
The contestants completed three tasks of different complexity and content. In the first one, they had to make a presentation about the jewelry of their region in three minutes, tell about their uniqueness, famous craftsmen who created these products.
As part of the second task, the participants had to make one national jewelry during the time the song was played on stage. According to the third condition, the contestants had to explain the significance and innovation of their five works.
The award ceremony of the winners of the competition took place on June 16 at the Center of Public Organizations of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat. The best jewelers were awarded valuable gifts and certificates of honor from the National Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan and the Central Council of the Union of Women of the country.
